SIG Strasbourg continues to strengthen its roster with the extension of Abdoulaye N'doye until 2028. The French player has compiled 9.8 points, 4.4 rebounds and 4.3 assists for 11.9 evaluation in 32 matches this season in Betclic ÉLITE. Arrived in Strasbourg in the summer of 2025, the French guard will therefore continue his adventure in red and white. The club presents this extension as an important element of its commitment to continuity, in a project built around a stable base. Player versatile on the backlines, Abdoulaye N'doye comes out of a solid 2025-2026 season with the SIG. In Betclic ÉLITE, he has compiled 9.8 points, 4.4 rebounds and 4.3 assists for 11.9 evaluation in 32 matches this season in Betclic ELITE within an Alsatian formation that finished quarter-finalist of the Playoffs. Formed in Cholet, Abdoulaye N'doye had launched his professional career in the Mauges before joining AS Monaco, with whom he discovered the EuroCup. He then passed through Gravelines-Dunkerque, then Le Mans, where he notably played in the Basketball Champions League. His arrival in Strasbourg, in September 2025, occurred after three seasons in Sarthe. The SIG had then highlighted a player capable of bringing polyvalence, intensity and experience to their external sector. The season just ended has confirmed this place in the Strasbourg collective. Beyond his statistics, his complete player profile has given balance to the team, particularly by his ability to weigh in several sectors of the game. « He does even better at the SIG what he was doing last year at Le Mans », said Nicolas Lang in December. « He may not be the guy we put forward the most, but for me, he's the real boss of this team. I've talked to several coaches of Betclic ÉLITE and they've told me the same thing. Against us, we've seen that it was him who was in charge of the ball who looked at the situations, read the game, slowed down the game when needed and found the shooters who received good screens, thanks to guys like William Pfister ». This extension is part of a broader context for the SIG. The club has recently confirmed its return to the Basketball Champions League for the 2026-2027 season, after a phase of reconstruction engaged by its new management. In its statement, Strasbourg explains that it wants to move forward with a solid base and pursue a progressive construction. The extension of Abdoulaye N'Doye goes in this direction: it secures an important player in the rotation and already integrated into the sports project of Jānis Gailītis. « We are very happy to be able to count on Abdoulaye N'doye for two more seasons », explains Nicola Alberani, the sports director. This was a strong will of the club and the staff to rely on the major players of this exercise to pursue a progressive construction.
